In addition to numerous live demos, there are plenty of opportunities to meet, paint, discussion and and and... The crowning finale is the DoYouSpeakWatercolor Night - several artists will paint together to music specially composed for this by Carsten Wieland, while the audience can groove to it.

 The Unperfekthaus Restaurant takes care of your physical well-being. The price of the early bird ticket includes a lunch buffet, an evening snack and as much coffee, tea and soft drinks as you want throughout the day. 

In advance there will be a painting competition organized by DoYouSpeakWatercolor with the theme "The City of Fairy Tales: The Medieval City of Marburg an der Lahn and the Brothers Grimm", the results of which will be presented at the World Watercolor Day. There are great prizes to be won here from our sponsor ROSA.

The “Fantasy” project by Dieter Wystemp, which revolves around the topic of fantasy illustrations with AI, is aimed primarily at a younger audience.

There are also live watercolor demos from Gabriele-Templin-Kirz, Carsten Wieland and many other artists.

As if that wasn't enough, the DYSW Award 2023 will also be presented with its international participants and the winners.

For international and far-traveled guests who would like to spend a little more time in the Ruhr area, a surrounding program can be created by Carsten Wieland upon request: e.g. sightseeing tour, visit of the world heritage Zeche Zollverein (including Ruhr Museum and Red Dot Design Museum), Folkwang Museum, Essen Cathedral Treasure, Villa Hügel (the former residence of the Krupp dynasty), a visit to a brewery with hearty German home cooking and much more.
